August 12, 2010 Palma Mallorca!

Quite a while since I updated!

We are now in Palma, Mallorca in the middle of the Mediterranean. Its absolutely gorgeous and I really feel like vacation - plus 3 kids :) :) lol
The girls are now pros at traveling, we took the train down to Malmo, stayed one night and Jocum's and then we flew out of Copenhagen early the next morning. Non stop to Palma - about 3 hours flight. I actually sat and read a book the entire time and the girls did their stuff. Baby O was sleeping most of the time so that explains that I could read a book :)
Staffan picked us up and took us to their flat, amazing view and pure luxury as we got our own 'wing' of the flat - 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Yesterday we went to the local market in Pinau and then drove back roads all the way down to the beach and went swimming in a warm ocean with white sandy beach. BEAUTIFUL!
The girls were beyond excited to jump in the waves and to be able to see the bottom. Great day
Staffan bought them flamenco dresses at the market and when we got back they were dancing like crazy. Chloe actually looked like she had done it for a while! Next year she wants a Flamenco Birthday Party :)
Petra a friend of Staffan who happened to be on Mallorca right now, came over to have dinner with us - S surprised with veggie tacos and she surprised with news of being pregnant! Toast with Sangria!!

When I woke up today the girls were already wearing their dresses and dancing around the flat. We took the car and drove to a little beach which was perfect for the girls, not a whole lot of people and just a small beach. Spent a few hours there then drove to Magaluf and had lunch/dinner and then went in the ocean there too. The waves were bigger there and of course the girls didn't want to leave. Chloe was quite upset that we didn't stay there longer.... Magaluf and Palma Nova are two touristy places - but the beaches are nice. Its where most of Europe's teenagers go on their first vacation and spend it in the bars and beaches. It was too early to see any of them though which was great :)

Now they are all passed out and I am exhausted.. think it will be an early night for me .. movie in bed...

Also, there is a big famous Cathedral here and girls are convinced its where Shrek and & Fiona lives so we are going to check in out one of these days :)
